The Scurion® is optimized for lithium-ion battery operation, but in emergencies, it can also run on a standard 9V alkaline battery at low brightness settings. This backup option is ideal for long-term storage, as alkaline batteries maintain their charge for extended periods (up to 5 years with 80% capacity at 21°C, as specified by Energizer).
