Named after Pigeon Mountain in TAG country — PMI has been manufacturing life safety rope in LaFayette, Georgia since 1976. The company was founded by cavers who got tired of trusting their lives to borrowed sailing rope. Born in Asheville, North Carolina in 2001 and named after Swago Cave in West Virginia. The packs are built from polyurethane-impregnated nylon with RF welded seams, tuck-and-roll closures, and an upside-down design that came from a happy accident during prototype testing. Three sizes, waterproof when closed, and about as close to indestructible as a cave pack gets.
