Our lamps use high-efficiency LEDs and an optimized driver circuit designed to minimize energy loss. While this ensures outstanding performance, the high power output generates heat in the lamp case. For most activities, such as caving or running, even minimal airflow effectively cools the lamp. However, in situations with limited cooling—such as warm, stationary environments like cave photography in Indonesia—the lamp may run hotter than usual.
Thanks to an internal temperature sensor, the lamp is protected from overheating, so there's no risk of damage. For those who need additional cooling, we offer an add-on heatsink. This precision CNC-machined component attaches to the back of compatible caving lamp heads, enhancing heat dissipation. The heatsink can be ordered with your lamp or installed as an upgrade on newer lamp heads featuring four mounting threads. The heatsink adds only 38g of weight.
Please note: The heatsink is not compatible with the outdoor and orienteering head straps.
